We will gather for two services: at 5pm and 11pm

The 5pm service is our intergenerational service, meaning that it is intentionally hospitable to friends of all ages. As is her custom, again this year Pastor Rachael will write an original story to be shared at the 5pm service. As a preview: This year’s story features one Matilda, a Minnesota Moose. You can also check out a story from a previous year: The Considerations of Chloe the Camel, which is read and captioned for accessibility, available on Youtube.

The 11pm service is our quieter, candlelit service of contemporary lessons and carols. Both are special gatherings on this Holy Day. Please consider yourself invited whether you are a regular member, an occasional visitor, a member from the past who has been away for years or whether you have never even heard of Living Table. Merry Christmas! We would love to meet you. Masks are required in person at this time.

“To you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth and lying in a manger…”
(Luke 2:11-12, NRSV)

    • Me too! ❤️ I love being able to attend a “midnight service” with candles, the narrative, Silent Night, and some reverence without the oppressive theology that went with those late services back in my youth.

    • I wish I could be there but I’m going to the 5:00 service to make sure that I’m present – at least on Zoom. Covid cough prevails and I don’t want to be the sanctuary disrupting anyone. May-be I’ll see you on Zoom at the late night service, too!

      • Attending via Zoom is still attending (even though I realize you’d prefer to attend in person if you could). But you’ll indeed be joining us if you do so via zoom, right? 🙂

    • Cindy, It’s always been my favorite service, too. There’s nothing like a quiet service filled with candlelight and then coming out of church at midnight.
