MIGIZI Open House on October 5, 2023

MIGIZI is having an Open House on Thursday, Oct 5, 2023 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
One of the Native organizations to which we gave reparations money from the sale of our building is MIGIZI (pronounced mi-GI-zi), which works with youth, teaching them media skills and skills for green-energy jobs.
After their building burned down during the 2020 uprisings, they held a capital drive and renovated a building on Lake St. Their open house is Thurs., Oct 5, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
The program will open with prayers and Native dances. Participants will have a supper of buffalo wild rice bowl and be given tours of the new building.
It’s free, but registration is required.

I wish I could go but I will be assisting a friend during his recovery from and operation that day. It would be nice if we had an identifiable contingent to attend the event.
