Happening Sunday, November 26 after worship, and we are invited!

Here’s the invite from LNL:

After Lake Nokomis Lutheran worship ends at 11:45 a.m., we’ll ask everyone to check off whether they’ll stay for pizza — so we have the number of adults and kids, and gluten-free requests for our order.
Then we’ll dive into
  • putting up a BIG Christmas Tree with lights in The Commons (the wood tree is coming down for now)
  • crafting and hanging ornaments and doing Christmas art (great activity for kids and there will be beads and GLITTER GUE! )
  • hanging a big wreath outside the 31st Ave. door
  • updating The Commons table decor
  • and doing a variety of other tasks for Advent and Christmas as time allows.
We’ll break for lunch downstairs when the pizza arrives — also serving salad and ice cream bars. There’ll be a basket for contributions. Becky D. could use 3 – 4 helpers if anyone is inclined or able to help.
There are two giving options for the season that y’all are invited to join in on. Tags with gift options can be taken from the tree — and gifts will be gathered at the tree during the season.
  • Gifts for kids in need at nearby Keewaydin Elementary School.
  • Welcome basket items for residents who will be moving into Bimosedaa in January.
Bimosedaa is 48 new apartment homes in downtown Minneapolis developed by Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative in partnership with Red Lake Nation. Culturally relevant and responsive on-site support will be tailored to members of the Native community who have moved out of homelessness, and be provided by Avivo. Bimosedaa is an Ojibwa word that translates to “Let’s walk together.”
