Living Table needs a new person on the Minnehaha Food Shelf Board.

Thank you to Tom R. for three years of service on the Minnehaha Food Shelf Board!

Tom is ending his time on the Board. It would be great for Living Table to continue to have a liaison to the Food Shelf. If you are interested, leave a comment or let Pr. Rachael or Tom know.

The Minnehaha Food Shelf Board meets 6 to 9 times a year in person – sometimes every month in busy periods and sometimes a monthly meeting is skipped in slow periods. The Board generally meets the first Thursday of the month from 9:00 to 10:30 AM.

  1. This is a great opportunity for someone who is new to being on a non-profit board. The folks are fully engaged and easy to get work with. The position is not demanding and you can grow into it at your own pace as you learn more about the board and how the food shelf is run. This is not a hands-on volunteer job but if you wish to do that at some point you are always welcome, but your job as a board member is to organize and plan the food shelf organization with the help and direction of the other board members. If you are retired, work at home or have a job that allows you to take off for a couple of hours a month this is a great opportunity to be of service to the church and the community. Let me or Rachael know if you are interested. Tom R.
