Our first Bring a Friend to Worship Sunday was fun and successful!

Congratulations to Boo who brought three friends to worship on October 8, 2023! She was the winner of the sweatshirt.

Thank you to all of you who invited your friends to worship. It was great fun to share worship with new folx.

And Also

I heard about all the conversations and social media interactions around inviting friends to worship. Many of us have friends who expressed interest in attending Living Table, and they found some comfort in the idea that there would be other new folx present.

For me this was a reminder that many people in our social circles do not know about Living Table, and would be interested in checking out our unique congregation. Perhaps we should try this again sooner rather than later.

A highlight of our worship was when some of our visitors felt comfortable sharing their prayer requests. This, my friends, is a sign of a truly welcoming community.

In the days ahead, please think about the people in your life who could benefit from the love and support of the Living Table community so you’ll be ready to invite them on our next Bring a Friend Sunday (or before that!). Think of the specific friends you had interactions with regarding last week’s Bring-a-friend Sunday, especially those who expressed interest in the idea. Let’s not forget about them.

Thank you to all of you who took the risk of inviting your friends to church. I look forward to next time!
