On Recovenanting Sunday we created our covenant for this program year. We wrote on hearts what we were committed to, and on hands we wrote how that we would enact our commitments.

I look forward to this covenant unfolding in our community as we live into this year of ministry together.

Here’s our list:

Hearts:

  • Eliminate racism and genocide
  • Share my creativity with the community
  • Love & hope
  • Helpfulness
  • Remember (look for sky vision)
  • Live in gratitude for God’s many blessings with community
  • Passion for justice
  • Attention, dialogue
  • To be always authentic and vulnerable here
  • Feeling disconnected, need to find meaning
  • Make more friendships here
  • Commitment to Beacon
  • To be a faithful Christian, be a force for justice, welcome, and serve others
  • I am doing more volunteering
  • I intend to be brave and vulnerable and participate in activities at church
  • Help LTUCC stay welcoming to all
  • Living faithfully
  • I will share my gifts and resources in gratitude and love
  • I am on church Council and covenant to finding ways to sustain our church for many years to come
  • Hope and persistence
  • Community, friendship, service
  • I will help lead us in ways of love and justice

Hands:

  • Help on Land Acknowledgement and Beyond Team
  • Participate on the RAT
  • Show up
  • Property Team, Communion, music, RAT
  • More participation in the life of the community, financial support of the community
  • Collaborative actions for justice
  • To listen and contribute to discussion
  • Faithfully show up. Genuinely demonstrate care and concern for all in this family
  • Attend more services, continue with book club, check out Sunday Circle again
  • I will be at more activities outside of Sunday service
  • Attend beacon events as I am able
  • I will continue to show up at LTUCC and be of service through leadership and love
  • Help organize Living Table’s quarterly coffee gathering, become the church Council’s clerk
  • You will see more of me!
  • Reach out to newcomers
  • Time, talents, and resources: participation, prayer, treasurer, tech, indoor garden
  • I commit to helping others invest in LT. We will be able to envision our church for years
  • Foodshelf, Beacon, garden, property, monthly donations
  • Service to New Branches and maintaining our property, relief of homelessness
  • Caring for others and working for justice and peace
  • Serve on Council, act in and lead justice activities, be family to others

If you were not present on Recovenanting Sunday, you may add your “hearts” and “hands” in the comments.
