It's important to check in with ourselves, and make sure we aren't taking on too much or isolating ourselves too much. At this time of year, I frequently think about balance. Please take time to enjoy the beauty of the world around us in the midst of keeping up with everything else.

How is it with your spirit? September has passed and October is upon us. The days are growing shorter and the leaves are changing colors as the temperatures cool. For many, this can be a challenging time of year. While for others, it is a time of renewed energy. Whatever it is for you, take a moment and check in with your spirit. How are you?

It’s important to check in with ourselves, and make sure we aren’t taking on too much or isolating ourselves too much. At this time of year, I frequently think about balance. Please take time to enjoy the beauty of the world around us in the midst of keeping up with everything else. If you need to intentionally slow down, check out Centering Prayer on Wednesday evenings at 5 pm.

Many opportunities for your involvement in the life of Living Table will continue to be available to you. Please consider each opportunity and decide what works best for you in terms of your abilities, your gifts, your time, your energy, and your well-being. There is a place for everyone in our community, and everyone is needed, wanted, and valued.

Check out the rest of Table Talk for opportunities for service, kinship, education, and worship.
