An Opportunity to Give Continues after Christmas
Bimosedaa Gift Tree
In case you missed the tags on the beautifully decorated tree in the Commons area of New Branches – we all have a wonderful opportunity to contribute to our Native relatives this Christmas season and into 2024! Please consider making a contribution. Every item helps!
Purchase move-in supplies to welcome new residents at Bimosedaa—48 new, deeply-affordable homes in downtown Minneapolis, developed by Beacon and Red Lake Nation with culturally-relevant supportive services from Avivo. You may bring items in the next time you come to New Branches, even if it’s not before Christmas.
Items needed, now and into 2024:
- laundry baskets
- bath and hand towels and washcloths, bathmats
- toiletries such as shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, menstrual care products, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss
Bimosedaa is an Ojibwe word that translates into English as “Let’s walk together.” May it be so!!
Thank you, and merriest of Christmas wishes to you all!
