Help Us Change the Landscape of Home
We’re changing the landscape of home and we need you with us! Gather with the Beacon collaborative at the Congregation Convening on December 1. Together we will learn about our five-year plan, launch our new Unlock the Metro Campaign, and build power for home. It would be great to have as many folks from Living Table there in person as possible but it will also be on Zoom for those who cannot attend in person for any reason. Contact Tom, Ann or Dorothy if you have questions.
Congregational Convening December 1, 2022
Our Congregational Convening is approaching quickly! On Thursday, December 1, at 6:30p.m. we will join together at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in St. Paul. We had nearly 300 people at our 2021 convening, the goal this year is 400! We can do it! Let’s try to have as many Living Table UCC members attend the Convening as possible this year to give our support to next year’s drive to ensure all Minnesotans have a secure place to live.
At this convening we will gather to build our power and energize each other:
• Learn about the audacious goals and the work we will do over the next five years to ensure all people have a home!
• Launch our NEW Unlock the Metro Campaign: A Campaign for Project Based Vouchers
• Preview the plan for this upcoming legislative session as we work on Bring it Home, Minnesota and other important bills
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CONVENING
Social Time: Before the event take time to socialize!
Seating: We ask congregations to sit together and will have sections assigned and signage for each congregation in the sanctuary.
Roll Call: If you are a collaborating or discerning congregation, please identify one of your members/leaders to participate in the congregational roll call. We ask that this person line up with other roll call representatives and process to the front of the sanctuary to introduce themselves and your congregation during this segment of the event.
Congregation banner: Get creative! Make a banner or sign to signify your congregation during the roll call.
Response Cards: We love to cheer and clap AND encourage you to create signs that express your VISIBLE passion and commitment for this work. Whether it’s a “Woot Woot” or a “Yay” or even a “Demand Affordable Housing Now” show your commitment and spirit at this convening. Make one for your entire congregation or maybe one for every person attending!
