Best practices for pastoral sabbaticals indicate that there should be no communication between the pastor and the congregation.

I am certain this will be challenging for all of us at different times. However, I encourage you to wait until September to share your news after May 31. Sabbatical is from May 31 – September 5.

As far as social media goes, I will not be blocking or removing Living Table folx from my Facebook. So I ask you to avoid interacting with any posts I might make. If you are curious about our travels, you can follow our official public profile on Instagram. This is where we will post photos of our travels.

I may also be using my personal blog as a travel blog this summer.

I know it will be tempting to email or text over the summer; please do not. Pr. Elaine will be available for all your pastoral needs, and the Congregational Care Team is as present and available as always.

My prayers are with the Living Table Community. May your summer be blessed with joy, health, creativity, and transformation.
